Possible use cases for the Gaussian curvature and the minimal (in absolute value) principal curvature for construction of novel geometries for shape analysis will be discussed. Among which are the scale-invariant metric and full affine invariant one. In the later case, the Gaussian curvature with respect to a given equi-affine metric is shown to be utilized for the construction of the fully affine metric.
